Convertir telefonos mitel a SIP

El Mitel 6920w es parte de la serie 6900 (6910, 6920, 6930, 6940).
Hay dos tipos de firmware oficiales:

Tu meta es reemplazar el firmware MiNet por el firmware SIP (por ejemplo, Mitel-6920w-SIP-v7.x.x.xx.zip).

2. Requisitos previos

Necesitas:

  • El archivo firmware SIP para 6920w (.bin o .zip), descargado del portal de soporte de Mitel (requiere cuenta Partner o acceso autorizado).
    • Ejemplo: Mitel_6920w_SIP_v7.2.0.32.zip
  • Un servidor TFTP / HTTP / HTTPS en tu red (por ejemplo, con SolarWinds, TFTPD64 o un servidor web simple).
  • Fuente PoE o adaptador de corriente.
  • Conectividad LAN (Wi-Fi solo se configura una vez tengas el firmware SIP activo).

 3. Obtener la IP y acceder al teléfono

  1. Conecta el teléfono al switch PoE.
  2. Espera a que muestre la pantalla inicial MiNet.
  3. Presiona:
  4. Settings → About → Network Information

y anota la IP Address.

  1. Desde un navegador, entra a:
  2. http://<IP_del_tel>

(Usuario: admin, Contraseña: 5320 o 22222 por defecto).

4. Cambiar firmware de MiNet a SIP

Opción A — Actualización manual vía Web GUI

  1. Entra a la interfaz web.
  2. Ve a:
  3. System → Firmware Update
  4. Selecciona Update via HTTP/HTTPS/TFTP.
  5. Ingresa:
    • Server Address: <IP o URL del servidor>
    • Path/Filename: <nombre_del_firmware>.bin
  6. Da clic en Upgrade y confirma.
  7. El teléfono descargará el firmware, reiniciará y mostrará:
  8. Loading Application
  9. SIP Firmware Version x.x.x.x

Opción B — Desde modo Boot (recomendado si está bloqueado)

  1. Desconecta el cable de red.
  2. Mantén presionada la tecla Settings (engranaje) mientras conectas el cable nuevamente.
  3. Entra al menú Boot Options.
  4. Configura:
    • Load Type: TFTP
    • Server Address: IP de tu servidor TFTP
    • File Name: 6920w_SIP.bin
  5. Guarda y reinicia → se descargará el firmware SIP.

 5. Reinicio y validación

Una vez instalado correctamente:

  • Verás en pantalla:
    “Mitel SIP Phone – 6920w”
  • Versión de firmware: SIP 7.x.x.x
  • Menú principal muestra opciones: Accounts, Network, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi.

 6. Configurar cuenta SIP

Desde la interfaz web:

  1. Abre http://<IP_tel>
  2. Ve a:
  3. Accounts → Account 1 → Basic
  4. Completa:
    • Display Name: Juan Pérez
    • User Name: 201
    • Authentication Name: 201
    • Password: (clave SIP del PBX)
    • SIP Server: 192.168.1.100 (o dominio SIP)
    • Outbound Proxy: (si aplica)
  5. Guarda y reinicia.

 7. Configurar Wi-Fi (opcional)

En firmware SIP, entra al menú del teléfono:

Menu → Network → Wi-Fi → Enable → Scan → Selecciona SSID → Ingresa clave

 8. Verificar registro SIP

En pantalla debe aparecer:
Line 1: Registered
O revisa desde tu PBX (por ejemplo, en FreePBX → “Asterisk Info → SIP Peers”).
